Description
Raymond CAUCHETIER (1920–2021) Shoot the Pianist, François Truffaut. François Truffaut and Suzanne Schiffman on set, Paris, 1960.  Digital print produced in 2014 on aluminium (Dibond). On three labels on the reverse: signed in pencil, titled and numbered, with copyright stamps. Dimensions: 34.5 x 46.5 cm Print produced in 2014 for the François Truffaut exhibition at the Cinémathèque française, to mark the 30th anniversary of the filmmaker’s death, Paris, 8 October 2014 – 15 January 2015.  Raymond Cauchetier recalls: ‘I was first assistant cameraman on this film, not a photographer. However, I did take a few snaps as a memento of the shoot. ’ Behind the camera, Claude Beausoleil, in front of François Truffaut and the script supervisor Suzanne Schiffman, in 1960.
