Guilloché gold and enamel oval snuffbox, 19th century, in the taste of the 18th century, probably Hanau. The lid centred on an oval miniature painted on enamel depicting a fisherman and a fisherwoman by the sea, in a frame of white pearl decoration, embellished with red and green enamelled friezes and garlands. The sides are decorated with guilloché reserves overlaid with translucent blue enamel, 7x5.3 cm, gross 107g damage to the enamel Oval engine-turned gold and enamel snuff box, 19th century, in the 18th-century taste, probably Hanau. The lid is centred with an oval enamel miniature depicting a fisherman and fisherwoman by the sea, within a surround of white beaded decoration, enriched with red and green enamelled friezes and garlands.
