A significant clock known as the ‘Aux Maréchaux’, crafted from chiselled and gilded bronze with a double patina, resting on a base of sea-green marble accented by a frieze of leaves and bunches of grapes, adorned with masks of Mercury, sphinxes and interlaced foliage around a floral wreath, supporting the allegories of Reading and Poetry flanking a plaque symbolising love.
Circular dial displaying the hours in Roman numerals and the quarter-hours in Arabic numerals.
