In-12, contemporary calfskin, decorated raised spine, title label in morocco. xxii pp., [1] blank folio, 259 pp., [4] pp. Binding worn, corners blunt, cap bands damaged, corners of the first endpaper and the first blank folio missing, a few minor defects in the paper. Jeanne de Valois (1447–1519) was the legitimised daughter of Louis XI. The nuns of her Order were also known as the ‘Blue Sisters’ because of their habit. They had a convent in Tours before the Revolution.
