Document on paper (210 mm x 135 mm) bearing a red wax seal with a cross and the words ‘Fides et Spes’, and the handwritten words in pen: ‘Given to Mr Louis de Lusignan in memory of his visit to Frohsdorf’. Signed ‘Henri’. Frohsdorf, 3 July 1850. Document mounted in a frame (360 mm x 280 mm) of period green velvet (worn) with four gilded metal fleurs-de-lis at the corners and surmounted by a gilded metal royal crown.
Frohsdorf was the Austrian town where the Count of Chambord and his family lived in exile from 1844 to 1883.
