ALBUM OF 12 WATERCOLOURS Italian-style In-4 (270 mm x 360 mm) in cloth, containing 12 mounted watercolours, including one pencil drawing, circa 1870; various subjects, including landscapes and seascapes. A handwritten and illuminated note in ink at the top of the album reads: Eleanor Alle, third course of drawing. St Michael’s School. Convent of the Holy Child Jesus. St Leonards-on-Sea, 1869. Included are 12 preparatory pencil drawings from the same period. A few foxing spots, slight marginal water damage on 3 leaves, minor damage to the binding.
