MONTESQUIOU FEZENSAC, Jean de (1902–1984) – HOFFMANN Ardance, or the Valley of Autumn. Parsi, Durand, 1946. Quarto, loose-leaf, in a padded cover with a slipcase and a half-cloth publisher’s box. 20 illustrations by Gaston Hoffmann, including 18 full-page illustrations. One of 36 copies printed on pure ‘Isle de France’ rag paper with a bistre suite, a colour progression in one illustration (‘Scène de fouettage’, p. 182) and an original colour drawing. Copy No. 76. The slipcase is worn, with a cloth spine (tears). Author’s EAS to Mr Pichard du Page.
