An interesting autograph signed letter to Jean Bourgoin, written by Curnonsky, comprising 4 pages, dated Riec, 10 July 1942. Curnonsky, the ‘Prince of Gastronomes’, recounts with humour his stay at the inn run by his friend Mélanie Rouat in Riec-sur-Bélon, in the ‘forbidden zone’, at the inn occupied by the Germans, and the political situation… He dissuades his ‘handsome nephew’ from joining him, given the circumstances.
