A very substantial collection comprising several hundred documents contained in a large cardboard box relating to the history of the bookshop, including correspondence with customers, documents concerning the bookshop’s former premises in Paris, a photograph of the Dorbon bookshop’s shopfront in New York circa 1930, purchase ledgers, tenancy agreements, plans and photographs of the bookshop’s interior signed in pencil by the photographer Henri Manuel, the bookshop’s catalogues, a register of copyright entries including those relating to the occult, numerous colour advertisements for the bookshop in multiple copies, book mock-ups or proofs with corrections, numerous prints of various Dorbon Ainé bookplates designed by Robida, etc.
