Description
THE BIBLE, comprising the entire Holy Scripture of the Old and New Testaments. Geneva, Pierre and Jacques Chouët, 1622. 3 parts in one folio volume, stiff vellum cover with blind-stamped decoration, double scroll border with fleurons at the corners and an oval medallion in the centre, spine with six raised bands, metal clasps, speckled edges (contemporary binding). A rare folio edition of the Geneva Bible, featuring prefaces by Théodore de Bèze and Jean Calvin.
A very attractive typographical mark on the title page and a few wood-engraved illustrations and maps within the text.
A superb copy in a very fresh contemporary binding of cold-stamped vellum, complete with its metal clasps.

A few wormholes and some foxing.
