Autograph dedication signed by the author on the first blank endpaper: To Monsieur de Montigny, Councillor to the King in his Councils, President of the Treasurers of France, and to Monsieur l’Abbé Fournier, his brother, from their most humble and most obedient servant Brodeau de Moncharville. The author repeated this autograph dedication in the title of the two ‘Rondeaux’ serving as a dedicatory epistle.
