Description
PEREIRA (Benito). *De magia, de observatione somniorum et de divinatione astrologica libri tres*. Cologne, Johann Gymnich, 1598. In-8, soft vellum (contemporary binding). Third edition of this ‘excellent treatise on sorcery and magic; it also served as a manual of exorcisms’ (Caillet).
This work by the Spanish Jesuit Benito Pereira (1535–1610) comprises three books devoted respectively to natural magic, the interpretation of dreams and astrology. The first edition was published in Ingolstadt in 1591.
