ALPINI (Prospero). De plantis Ægypti liber. Accessit etiam liber de balsamo. Venice, Francesco Franceschi, 1592. In-8, stiff ivory vellum, smooth spine, spotted edges (Modern binding). First edition of the first work on Egyptian flora. The illustrations include a title vignette and 49 woodcuts in the text showing plant species, 38 of which are full-page.
