In-8, red morocco, gilt fillet, coat of arms in centre, spine decorated with repeated numeral, brown title-piece, smooth edges (Early 19th century English binding). A very fine and rare Greek printing in red and black.
Apollonius' epic poem on the expedition of the Argonauts is followed by an important critical apparatus in Greek.
A red morocco copy bearing the arms and cipher of Herbert Norman Evans (1802-1877), a British collector and member of the Royal College of Surgeons.
