Lucerne, Faksimile Verlag, 1990. 2 volumes in-folio for the facsimile and commentary, the first bound in white kid suede, four-ribbed spine, black slipcase decorated with wrought metal parts; the second in white half kid suede, slipcase (publisher's binding). A sumptuous and very faithful reproduction of one of the most beautiful manuscripts in the West, the Book of Kells, a masterpiece of Irish-Saxon art produced around the year 800 and now kept in the library of Trinity College Dublin (MS 58). The facsimile occupies the first volume, bound in imitation of the original manuscript. The second volume contains a commentary in German by Anton von Euw and Peter Fox.
