In-8, fawn calf, spine decorated, red edges (17th century binding). Very rare Lyon edition of this divinatory book-game, also known as Jean de Meung's Magic Mirror. The original edition was published by François Gruget in Paris in 1556. "This divinatory game, which uses a twelve-sided die - or dodecahedron - contains 144 questions classified according to the twelve astrological houses and connected to 1,728 oracles in French verse.
