Leipzig, Hans Steinmann, 1577. 3 parts in one folio volume, saddle-skin stamped on wood, double framed with cold roulettes, allegorical plaque in the centre, initials MGCP and date 1577 on the first board, five-ribbed spine, smooth edges, metal clasps (Period Germanic binding dated 1577). New, enlarged edition of this imposing pedagogical collection published by Michael Neander (1525-1595). A pupil of Melanchthon, Neander was rector of the gymnasia at Nordhausen and Ilfeld.
