DÜRER, Albrecht (1471-1528). The Sea Monster, or The Abduction of Amymone. Das Meerwunder (Raub der Amymone), [ca. 1498-1500]. Copper engraving on laid paper signed in the plate with the monogram AD. 247 x 187 mm, with filleted margins. Modern frame and coaster. Very famous mythological print depicting a nude woman abducted by a triton, engraved with a burin by Albrecht Dürer around 1500. Late 16th century print.
