FÉNELON. Les Avantures de Télémaque, fils d'Ulysse. New edition in conformity with the original manuscript. Leiden, J. de Wetstein ; Amsterdam, Z. Chatelain & fils, 1761. In-folio, brown half-basin, spine decorated with gilt and cold fillets, marbled edges (contemporary binding). Edition illustrated with a frontispiece by Bernard Picart by Folkema, a portrait of Fénelon by Drevet after J. Vivien and 24 figures out of text, mostly engraved by Folkema after L. F. Dubourg.
The text of Télémaque, printed in a typographical frame, is followed by the Examen de conscience pour un roi, composed by Fénelon for the instruction of the Duke of Burgundy.
