GEMMA FRISIUS. Principles of astronomy & cosmography: with the use of the globe. Paris, Jacques Quesnel, 1619. In-8, spotted basane, spine decorated, red edges (18th century binding). Third and last edition of Claude de Boissière's translation. Like the first edition (previous lot), it also contains L'Usage de l'anneau astronomique and l'Exposition sur la mappemonde by Gemma Frizon.
It is illustrated with 50 wood-engraved figures in the text, some of them full-page.
