It contains 277 fables and genealogies of the gods drawn from Greek sources, followed in this edition by Hygin's poem on Astronomy and other treatises attributed to Paléphatos, Fulgence, Aratos, Proclus, etc. The Phenomena of Aratos and the Treatise on the Sphere of Proclus are printed in Greek and in Latin translation.
The illustration includes 48 woodcut figures in the text, representing the figures of the zodiac, the sun, the moon and the planets.
