FOUCQUET (Jehan). Œuvre. Paris, L. Curmer, 1866-1867. 2 volumes in-4, jansenist brown morocco, gilt inner lace, pink moire lining and endpapers, gilt edges (L. Curmer). This reproduction of the Hours of Estienne Chevalier, by Foucquet, was given by Abbé Delaunay. It occupies the first volume, the text of which is framed with Renaissance-style arabesques in various colours; it is accompanied by a portrait of Pope Pius IX and 53 chromolithographic plates. The second volume contains various documentary notes; it is illustrated with a figure drawn by Fossey, 5 out-of-text plates and 17 chromolithographed titles. Edition of 550 copies, this one fully mounted on tabs. Rubbing.
