MARICOURT (René de). Traicté et abregé de la chasse du lièvre et du chevreuil. Paris, Mme Bouchard-Huzard, 1858. In-8, bradel half green morocco with corners, untrimmed (Binding of the late nineteenth century). First edition, printed in a small number on Hollande paper. This treatise on hare and deer hunting was written in 1627 and dedicated to Louis XIII by René de Maricourt, Baron of Mouchy-le-Châtel. The edition, based on two manuscripts held in public libraries and with a preface by de Bouis, is decorated with three full-page engraved coats of arms. From the A.
