PARENTEAU Daniel Docteur (1858-1938): La Cathédrale de Chartres, Manuscript on approximately 509 pages mounted on tabs, embellished with photographs and postcards, bound in 5 volumes in-8 oblong half chagrin (wear). Dated 1 January 1927. Very important documentary, technical and architectural study of Chartres Cathedral written in black and red ink by a doctor who was also known for various books on eye medicine and whose writings have been redacted. The manuscript is preceded by a lengthy foreword. The last leaf indicates: finished writing on Tuesday 22 May 1928.
