In-8, 2 parts in 1 volume with continuous pagination, (14 i.e. 2 frontispieces, 2 titles, dedication and privilege)- 168 (misquoted 166, (153)-154 doubled)- 14 (misquoted 15 lacks n° 5) pp. and pp. 167 to 232 pp. (misquoted 1 bl. before and after 174 and 1 unnumbered p. after 226), entirely engraved, probably by Jean Marot, the frontispiece and the title of the second part are bound at the beginning of the work. Bound in contemporary basane, spine decorated with gilt fleurons, binding rubbed, damage to upper head, 3 cm split at head, stain on 1 frontispiece, name in ink on 1 title. This work made a major contribution to the early dissemination of Palladio's theories in northern Europe. The original edition dates from 1645. Collation: 7 unsigned leaves, A-I8, K9, L-P8, Q3. The copy in "The Mark J. Millard Architectural Collection" n.128 includes 2 additional leaves L9 and Q4.
