LAMI, Eugène. Quadrille de Marie Stuart. 1929 (Paris), 2 March 1829. In-folio (234 x 341 mm), 22 lithographed and watercoloured plates including a title and 21 portraits on Chine. On sheets. Based on the watercolours Eugène Lami did at the famous costume ball given by the Duchesse de Berry on the theme of the marriage of Mary Stuart and the Dauphin François II. Only a few copies of this suite, which was not sold, were printed for members of the quadrille. Missing 5 plates (the 4 scenes and 1 portrait), the large frame has been removed, the title leaf dusty, lined on cardboard and the frieze of the frame retouched, one plate torn and reattached, 2 plates with traces.
