[ATLAS] (LECLERC, Jean) Theatre geographique du royaume de France. Contenant les Cartes & Descriptions particulières des Provinces d'iceluy. Paris, Chez la Veuve Jean le Clerc, 1632. In-folio, (11) ff (/13) including 1 engraved frontispiece title by L. Gaultier, 1 printed title, 2 equestrian portraits of kings Henri IV and Louis XIII by Le Clerc and Lasne, 3 in-text engravings illustrating the entry of king Henri IV into Paris in 1594, and 52 maps in 50 sheets (one world map, one map of France and 50 maps of the French provinces on 48 sheets). Bound in contemporary calf, boards framed with a double gilt fillet, the work is entirely mounted on tabs (several of which are split at the foot), binding faded, spine entirely rebound, boards rubbed and stained, leather missing from the corners, traces of moisture on the lower corner. of the first 20 leaves and at the head of about twenty maps, 4 cm tear at the central fold of the map of France and 3 cm tear at the map of Anjou, old annotations in the margin of the text of the map of Provence, table of maps handwritten on the second flyleaf, 2 leaves of text missing: F.[6]: "Sommaire discours de la vie héroïque du roy Henry le Grand" and F.[7]: Table des cartes et privilège.
