Paris, Éditions d'Art Les Heures Claires, 1970. 3 volumes small in-4, leaves, filled covers with the title printed in red on the first cover in a rich frame of foliage and musical instruments, folders, slipcases - 177 pp. 165 pp. 163 pp. [3 ff.], 54 miniatures in colour and 51 culs-de-lampe in black by Henry Lemarié engraved on wood. Edition of 3450 numbered copies, 1/2850 on Rives vellum (no. 2169) with a fine letter from the illustrator. The publication of this work took three years and required nearly 3,000 woodcuts to reproduce the miniatures, some of which were as sly as the text they illustrated. The copy includes a postcard with a woodcut, 4 plates that were rejected, a 4-fold leaflet presenting the volume with the reproduction of 4 miniatures and a cul-de-lampe with a photo and two press clippings.
