Unique edition of 138 copies on Chine (no. 105). Ex-libris of Henri Bonnasse and Suzanne Courtois. Copy enriched with 13 original drawings by Jouas, captioned and signed (coloured pencil, watercolour, or pen and watercolour), produced for this volume, placed opposite the poems they illustrate, a portrait of Goudeau, engraved by Jouas (1st state), independently of the 2 drawings inserted in the flyleaves. It should be noted that in the last poem, "Bibliophilie", dedicated to Mme Béraldi, the name of Jouas is mentioned. Émile Goudeau (1849-1906) founded the "cercle des hydropathes" in 1878, which took up residence at the Chat Noir when it was founded in 1881 by Salis. This was the first work illustrated by Jouas, whom Béraldi had just discovered.
