In Collection "Études sur quelques artistes originaux". 2 volumes in-4 bound in Lavallière half morocco with gilt fillet underlining, spine ribbed, author, title, tomaison and gilt head, illustrated covers preserved. [2 ff.], III, 110 pp, [1 f.] ; [2 ff.], 134 pp, [3 ff. table, subscription bulletin with plates]. Volume II contains the catalogue raisonné of Boutet's works. Illustrated in T I with a portrait of Boutet engraved in etching by Ch. Courtry, 16 drypoints, 2 etchings and 1 lithograph, i.e. 20 plates h-t and more than 200 figures in-t; in T II, 9 etchings, 8 drypoints, 3 lithographs, 15 sketches and reproductions. Edition of 435 copies for Volume I, this one of 400 on fine tinted vellum (No. 122) and 560 for Volume II, one of 500 on fine tinted vellum (No. 128). The insert illustrated by Boutet announcing the opening of H. Floury's bookshop and publishing house at no. 1 Bld des Capucines is included. A very fine copy.
