Description
Book of Hours. Ordinary of Holy Mass. Wedding ceremonies. Wedding Mass. Paris, Bouasse, Lebel et Massin, 1889. Format 19.2 x 15.5 cm, full vellum with smooth spine, boards and spine strewn with gilt ermines in a frame of gilt fillets, monogram "GL" stamped in the centre of the first board, gilt edges incised with ermines, double gilt fillets inside enclosing ermines, silk tapestry endpapers decorated with floral motifs. Watercoloured and hand-gilded compositions by L. Rousseau on every page - 88 pp. b. ch. mounted on tabs, of which 12 blank and 75 illustrated from old documents.
