In-4 bound in full black morocco, spine decorated with a mosaic motif in the Gothic style with scrolls in 8 colours set in gold, smooth spine with mosaic geometric decoration in 3 colours and gold, author and title in gilt, spine flaps decorated with 2 etchings by Jouas printed in sepia on silk (24.5 x 15.5 cm), first free endpaper in brocaded silk, double flyleaf, gilt edges on witnesses, slipcase in form and bordered (rel. R. Kieffer) - 163 ff (printed on one side only), [2 ff, table, completed]. Illustrated with 21 original h-t etchings by Jouas. Bookplate of Henri Marcus. Unica printed on fine vellum, justified by the publisher on the flyleaf "unique copy on vellum". Attached is an autograph letter dated 11/12/1906 in Paris with signed and sealed envelope from Huysmans to Monsieur Jean de Caldain bearing on the envelope the words "à ouvrir aussitôt après ma mort" "Instructions".
