Huysmans, Joris-Karl - Jouas, Charles. - Three Churches. The symbolism of Notre-Dame. Saint Merry. Saint Germain l'Auxerrois. Paris, Éditions Kieffer, 1920. In-4 bound in full duck-blue morocco, the first plate of which bears an inlaid copper plate (St Merry church, pp. 129-130); ribbed spine adorned with stamped crosses, chamfered with radii; gilt author, title and head; spine flaps adorned with 2 etchings by Jouas printed in sepia on silk (25 x 16 cm), covers and spine preserved, shaped and lined slipcase (rel. R. Kieffer) - 163 pp, [2 ff., table, completed]. Illustrated with 21 original h-t etchings by Jouas. Edition of 260 copies on vellum, this one an artist's copy (justified by Kieffer) corresponding to the 20 containing 2 states of the etchings, one of which with remarks and enriched with a colour engraving (sketch of the chevet of Notre-Dame de Paris) and an original coloured pencil drawing titled and signed "Notre-Dame de Paris tour du nord- chapelle de la vierge. Ch. Jouas 1915" (28.5 x 19.3 cm).
