[VERCORS] – SACY (Sylvestre de) – Ten Legends in the Margins of the Book. Paris, Chez les Frères Creuzevaut, 1930; in-4, 120 pp., loose sheets in a padded folder and a slipcase. Copy number 27 on Gaspard-Maillol paper (a print run of 225 copies in total). Copy on Imperial Japan paper accompanied by a suite and an early black-and-white state, as well as an original colour drawing by Jean Bruller. The book is signed by Jean Bruller on the second blank page. A very fine copy. Jean Bruller, known as Vercors, born in 1902 and died in 1991 in the 1st arrondissement of Paris, was a French illustrator and writer. He adopted the literary pseudonym Vercors in 1941 whilst in the Resistance. Subsequently, he retained his surname for his work as an artist and his pseudonym as his name as a writer. His most famous novel is *Le Silence de la mer*, published clandestinely in 1942.
