New edition, enriched with beautiful engravings. Illustrated edition featuring fine black-and-white engravings, drawn and engraved mainly by Martin Bouché, Peter, Paul Bouché and Peter Clouwet... Text in two columns: the original Latin text on one side and a French prose translation on the other. The volume also contains detailed notes on the fables by Pierre Du-Ryer, a member of the Académie Française and translator of the work. Binding damaged: split joints, worn caps with missing leather, worn corners, scuff marks and stains on the covers. Water damage to the bottom edges of some pages.
