ROBIDA (Albert) / RABELAIS (François), two editions. The Works of Rabelais (excluding the eight pages of the introduction) and a glossary by Pierre Jannet, with illustrations by A. Robida. Paris, published by the Librairie Illustrée (1880); two volumes in two books, brown half-maroquin (slightly rubbed) with corner pieces, mosaic spine decorated with a bunch of grapes and portraits (woman and man) at the top and bottom. Volume I: 494 pages (tear on page 43 and scattered foxing, more extensive on pages 11 to 18). Volume II: 484 pages (corner of a plate on page 119 missing and tear on page 377). Black-and-white illustrations and colour plates. Another copy without the colour plates (but with the VIII pages of the catalogue), burgundy half-shagreen, spine worn.
