Fawn-coloured leather, spine with three decorated false ribs, gilt title, upper cover decorated with a mosaic coat of arms in gold and red, gilt edges, book-shaped slipcase in beige velvet, spine with four false ribs, gilt title, gilded seal of the Vatican Apostolic Library at the foot, gilded roundel on the endpapers, publisher’s name in gold and a slipcase on the upper inside front cover, accompanied by its 45-page booklet in a matching cover with the title in gold (Reliure d’Art du Centre, Limoges). Facsimile of the Vat Ross. 94 Book of Hours from the Flemish school, produced at the end of the 15th century and held at the Vatican Apostolic Library. Edition no. LVI of the collection ‘Codices e Vaticanis selecti [...]’. The binding does not replicate that of the original, and bears the combined coat of arms of Louise Charlotte DE BOURBON, Duchess of Saxony. Commentary by Marcel THOMAS, former Chief Curator of the Manuscripts Department at the National Library. Copy no. 192, accompanied by its commentary booklet and certificate. Slight scratch on the upper cover, slight loss of gilding on the edges. Gilding slightly faded on the slipcase and the booklet.
