Mottled fawn calfskin, spine with five raised bands and floral decoration, title page in red morocco, volume pages in fawn morocco, triple gilt fillet on the covers, gilt roulette on the edges, wide gilt lace on the headbands, gilt edges. (Derome the Elder, Rue Saint Jacques, above the ossuaries of St Benedict [label on volume IV]). New edition, considerably expanded, comprising 26 maps and 2 fold-out plates, 62 vignettes by Eisen and 28 copper-engraved letters. Some minor worm damage to the bindings, nothing serious; interior in very fresh condition. A fine copy in a binding signed by DEROME.
