Small 8vo, 77 pp. Black half-maroquin with a band, long spine, gilt title, gilt fillets on the covers, gilt head; cover and spine in good condition; matching slipcase edged with black maroquin. (C. Dreneau). 6 hors-texte engravings by André DIGNIMONT. First edition printed in a run of just over 718 copies; this is no. 13 of 20 on vellum with a double set of engravings, reserved for the Friends of Le Sans Pareil and printed in their name, in this case for Pierre LEGRAIN (1889–1929), the renowned sculptor, draughtsman, decorator and bookbinder who left his mark on the art world. A very fine copy, on large-format paper perfectly prepared by Constant DRENEAU. Working independently after 1949, Constant DRENEAU (1907–1972) undertook commissions for interior designers, notably Pierre-Lucien MARTIN, for whom he carried out the execution of his designs.
