Paris, Les Heures Claires, 1948. 2 vols., in-4°, 233 pp.; 228 pp. Green morocco, spine with 4 false raised bands decorated with a mosaic green flower, title and volume number gilded, double gilded fillet with spandrels on the covers, with, in the centre of the upper covers, a sea-green embossed leather oval, depicting, in the style of a cameo, a young girl leaning on a horse’s head, the whole within a double frame of gilt fillets; interior lined with sea-green tabis, gilt fillet on the endpapers, gilt headband, cover and spine preserved, green marbled slipcases edged with green morocco, the set preserved in a half-green morocco slipcase, gilt fillet on the covers matching the endpapers’ lining, slipcase matching the text volumes. (J. Menidrey). Woodcuts in the text by Lucien FONTANAROSA. Printed in a run of 416 copies; this is no. 36 of the 35 on pure-fibre Rives vellum, containing an original drawing in the format of the insert plates, the woodcut breakdown corresponding to this drawing, and a black-and-white set. Spine very slightly sun-faded; a fine set, perfectly bound.
