[QUR’AN]. [ZENDEROUDI]. The Qur’an. Translated from the Arabic by Jean Grosjean, illustrated with original silkscreen prints by Zenderoudi, accompanied by the manuscript of Ibn al-Bawwad with commentary by D. S. Rice. Paris, Club du Livre, Philippe Lebeau, 1972. 2 vols. in-4° and the manuscript accompanied by the commentary by D. S. Rice, translated by Jacqueline Bernard, 2 vols. in-8°. Fawn sheepskin, spine with four blind-stamped false ribs, title and volume number gilded, covers richly blind-stamped, orange tabis endpapers, gilded head, green cloth slipcases edged with fawn sheepskin. The manuscript, bound in the same manner, and the commentary, bound in green cloth, are housed in a slipcase whose spine mimics volumes 3 and 4. (Ateliers Robert Ardant). Copy on Lana vellum no. MCCXXV. A facsimile of the only known Arabic manuscript by Ibn al-Bawwad, held at the Chester Beatty Library. A fine copy.
