Publisher’s fawn sheepskin, spine with two false raised bands decorated with a cold-stamped caduceus, title and volume number gilded, covers decorated with astrological symbols using both cold and hot stamping, gilded head, slipcase edged with fawn sheepskin. Original woodcuts by Jean CHIEZE. A numbered copy on Renage ‘Dame Blanche’ pure-thread paper, with a dedication by the illustrator: ‘To Madame Eliane Mahut, Pharmacist, as a token of respectful remembrance and in homage from a “former resident of Besançon”. Jean Chièze, 1966’. Spine slightly rubbed and sun-faded.
