Folio, 106 pp. Unbound sheets, pink cover with leaf inclusions, brown cloth slipcase, grey title on the spine, grey signature of the illustrator on the upper front cover. Preface by the Duke of BRISSAC. 15 original colour lithographs by Jean COMMERE, including 1 in the margin of the book, whilst the colophon lists 17 lithographs, 3 of which are in the margin; the copy is complete according to the continuous pagination, with the illustrations appearing within the text. Printed in a run of just over 301 copies; this is no. 32 of the 50 printed on large Lana vellum, including a set of the 7 double colour plates, as well as a set of the 3 rejected plates. The copy is signed by the illustrator and the publisher, and bears the bailiff’s stamp. Very slight signs of wear to the slipcase.
