Green sheepskin, spine with four blind-embossed false ribs, title and volume number gilded, covers decorated with a large blind-embossed triangular motif in a Middle Eastern style, with an engraved copper plate at each apex, green cardboard slipcase edged with green sheepskin. Woodcuts engraved by Paulette HUMBERT, including one as a frontispiece in vol. I depicting MONTAIGNE. Introduction by Pierre d’ESPEZEL.
