In-4°, 220 pp., [5] pp. Havana morocco, long spine, title gilded on a wide panel of fawn morocco, blind-stamped framing on the covers with the great coat of arms of Spain gilded on the upper cover, gilded head, fawn tabis endpapers, cover and spine preserved, fauve moiré slipcase edged with havana morocco (Au Poinçon d’Or). 32 original black-and-white lithographs in the text, including 1 frontispiece, 14 full-page and 2 double-page illustrations, 9 initials (not 8 as stated), title woodcut by the Catalan painter Marti BAS. Printed in a run of just over 250 copies; this is no. 168 of 200 on Arches Grand Vélin paper, featuring the final version of the plates.
