SAINT-JOHN PERSE. [BLANCHET (Robert)]. *Amers*. Les Bibliophiles de Provence, 1962. Folio. Unbound sheets. Illustrated blue embossed cover, publisher’s slipcase in illustrated brown cloth. Woodcuts engraved on the slipcase, the cover and within the text by Robert BLANCHET, 20 original colour lithographs as inserts on the theme of *Amers*. Printed in a run of just over 250 copies on large, custom-made Rives vellum, specially produced and watermarked with the signature of SAINT-JOHN PERSE; this copy, no. 77, was printed for Désiré FAURE. This is the first publication to use the 28-point Grandjean italic typeface, the matrices for which were struck specifically for this edition. Minor scuffing to the slipcase; the cloth has darkened. A good copy.
