Quarto, 82 pp. Blue sheepskin, spine with four false raised bands decorated with gilt fillets and two blind-stamped iron tools, title label in black morocco, blind-stamped fillet framing the covers, the gilded royal coat of arms of England in the centre of the upper cover, blue tabis endpapers, gilded headband, black sheepskin cover, title and gilded bands on the spine, grey suede lining, grey moiré cloth slipcase edged with black sheepskin. 12 black-and-white copperplate engravings by Jacques BOULLAIRE, one as a vignette on the title page, one as a colophon, and 10 others within the text, including one as a frontispiece and three full-page illustrations. Printed in a run of 490 copies; this is no. 300 of 455 on white Rives vellum in the standard format.
