Rouen: Etienne Vereul, 15 February 1623. In-12. Bound in full midnight-blue morocco, with gold fillets on the covers, a decorated ribbed spine, and all edges gilt. First edition.- The author, implicated in the ‘Possessed Women of Louviers’ affair, was convicted and burnt at the stake on 21 August 1647 for witchcraft and sorcery.- J.P.
