The last two leaves of the table of contents at the end of the first volume are missing. Contemporary half-sheepskin binding (some scuffing). Smooth spines decorated with friezes and rosettes, featuring a title label and volume number (lower cap on Volume I damaged). In fair condition overall. A RARE FIRST EDITION of this important travelogue.
