102- HOZIER (Ambroise-Louis-Marie d’): ‘General Armorial of France. ’ Paris: Royal Printing Office, 1821–1823. 2 substantial quarto volumes. Portrait of Louis XV, 7 heraldic plates as inserts and numerous wood-engraved coats of arms within the text. First register, covering the families from d’Abancourt to de Zeddes; second register, from Abzac to Jambon de Saint-Cir. Contemporary bluish paper covers, plain spines adorned with a title label. Paper loss on the spines, more significant in the first volume. A leaf containing 9 handwritten lines opposite the title page of Volume I. This edition, published during the Restoration, remained unfinished: only these two registers were published, the third having remained in proof form. RARE FIRST EDITION.
